しわが寄ったような漆の表情、「縮み」に色漆を塗り重ねて研ぎ出しています。人体を模したものに漆を塗ることで無機物だけれど生命の気配を感じる、少し不気味な作品を目指しました。
When lacquer dries in a certain way, the surface “shrinks” and looks wrinkled. Colored lacquer was applied over the shrunken lacquer layer and then the surface was polished. By applying lacquer to an object resembling a human body part, I aimed at creating a somewhat creepy artwork which is inorganic but has a touch of life.
